National Night Out 2021

When? Tuesday, October 5th, 6-7 p.m. (volunteers arrive at 5:30)

Where? Duck Creek Golf Club parking lot

Our theme this year is “A Taste of Oakridge” with food celebrating the diversity of our neighborhood. We hope you will join us in the fun along with Garland Police and their K-9 unit and some cuddly Pets-for-Adoption. We will also have someone available to answer any questions you may have about ONA membership.

Here are the details:

  1. The event is free but we do ask that you register (click here to register).
  2. We will provide the food but we ask that you bring your own chairs and beverages. For those who want to purchase beverages, the Duck Creek Golf Club beverage cart will have drinks for purchase.
  3. Speaking of food, we are still looking for volunteers who want to show off their culinary skills. Consider signing up to contribute some food. To participate, email us at safety@oakridgena.org.

The purpose of National Night Out (NNO) is to build strong partnerships between the police and communities and to promote crime awareness programs such as Neighborhood Community Watch groups.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As we make plans for NNO, we are mindful of the spread of the Delta variant (Covid-19) and are monitoring the situation closely with Garland Fire and Police. We will confirm plans and communicate as we get closer to the NNO date.
