Between the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the recent record-setting winter storms, many of our neighbors (both inside and outside Oakridge) are struggling financially. As nonprofit organizations provide assistance to those who are struggling, their own supplies are dwindling.
Last fall, Oakridge residents generously made donations during our food drive in October. The ONA wants to provide residents another opportunity to help our community – though this time we are only collecting food items.
On Sunday, March 7th, from 2–4 p.m. the ONA has arranged for local nonprofit Good Samaritan (“Good Sam”) of Garland to bring a truck to Oakridge to collect food donations. The truck will park in the northeast corner of the Duck Creek Golf Club parking lot to receive your food donations. Please see the list below for donation ideas.
Come to donate, leave with a cookie! See you there!
